Okay so I have been out of the web graphic design loop for a couple of weeks, and it has definitely showed in my work. I wanted to work on a picture to try to get some practice in. I will post them and will tell you the changes at the end . See if you can find my changes. : )

Okay so what I did was  fixed the bags underneath my boyfriends eyes by using the spot healing tool brush, as well as the bumps on my face. I used the spot healing to as well to fix his tooth. I used the auto tone to give the picture some life. I tried to use the clipping mask but, I didn't do very well. So I ended up using the magnetic marquee tool to cut the background out. I realize it's still a bit rough around the edges but its a learning process right? : ) I wasn't sure how to restore the color under his eyes. If anyone knows please let me know. Also, I used the warp tool to refine the edges where I put the background picture. I am determine to master photo shop, there's just so much to learn in 8 weeks that you miss some things.

So for the past couple of weeks I have not been  posting on my blogger due to everything that has been going on in my life.  I really thought for the past couple of weeks i was going to have to change my course of study due to  what this disease is doing to me. But I can't give up! So I started looking at some web graphic designs that kept me inspired and they are listed below. Some of these are from graphicdesignjunction.com and there was this one website where the artist makes her graphic designs from meat. What Inspires Me!!!!!!!

Hello to everyone reading this blog. My name is Erica M. and I'm majoring in Multimedia design and development. Before I came to Devry I was a theater major. I received a minor in theater and decided to pursue it a little further. It has always been my dream to be a performer on Broadway or in a huge blockbuster directed my James Cameron. Although, theatre was and still is my passion, I decided that I needed a degree. I wanted to do something  still related to the arts so I chose  Multimedia Design. I loved using my imagination to come up with something no one has ever thought of. I thought multimedia and design was going to be easy; I was wrong. I didn't realize how a line or a shape could make or break your piece, or what color and font you use could change your piece from what you had picture it to be. Professor Wathen has made me appreciate art a lot more than I did before. I have new respect for those who take the time to accent a line or blend a color with another. I want to be just as great, if not greater. I hope to learn about all the adobe programs and how to use them. I also plan to take some drawing classes to help with my designs. I'm Looking forward to the program as well as meeting new people!
